Summer Safety
Summer is a time for warm weather, vacations and outdoor fun for young children and families. As the season approaches, it is important to be mindful of summer safety. Representatives from the District’s Metropolitan Police Department will present simple tips to promote summer safety and preparedness. Register for the workshop here.
Nutrition and Wellness Series
DC CCC, in partnership with the Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) at the University of the District of Columbia, will be hosting an eight-week nutrition and wellness series for families beginning May 17, 2023. The series utilizes evidence-based strategies to address diet and physical activity behaviors and reduce the risk for food insecurity and chronic disease in families. Sessions are available in English or Spanish.

Discover Summer with DC Public Library (DCPL)
Join DCPL to learn about simple and engaging summer activities promoting early literacy skills that can be done at the library, at home or in the neighborhood. Families will receive information about the library's exciting all-ages summer learning program, Discover Summer, as well as other resources, services and programs available for free through DCPL. DC CCC serves as a resource hub for families, child care professionals and communities by helping families find quality child care; providing support, education and resources to child care providers; and serving as a central hub for community resources.
