For Early Learning Professionals

Overview

Early childhood educators have one of the most important jobs in the world – supporting children during a critical period of development; however, they may lack the practical resources to support them. DC Child Care Connections provides educators with the opportunity to grow professionally with support of our network of partners and extensive resources.

Resources:

  • Early Childhood Resources: The Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE) is committed to increasing access to quality child care for young learners in the District of Columbia. OSSE provides support and resources to ensure that current and prospective child development staff have the tools they need. Early childhood professionals of all positions can access information about the new early childhood education requirements and find resources to support their educational needs.
  • Promoting Positive Behavior: Early childhood educators can review this resource to learn more about child care licensing regulations and how promoting positive behavior can prevent suspensions and expulsions.
