Nutrition and Wellness Series
DC CCC, in partnership with the Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) at the University of the District of Columbia, will be hosting an eight-week nutrition and wellness series for families beginning May 17, 2023. The series utilizes evidence-based strategies to address diet and physical activity behaviors and reduce the risk for food insecurity and chronic disease in families. Sessions are available in English or Spanish.

Discover Summer with DC Public Library (DCPL)
Join DCPL to learn about simple and engaging summer activities promoting early literacy skills that can be done at the library, at home or in the neighborhood. Families will receive information about the library's exciting all-ages summer learning program, Discover Summer, as well as other resources, services and programs available for free through DCPL. Workshop: Effective Communication with Young Children
Communicating with young children often requires a different approach than when communicating with older individuals. During this workshop, families will explore practical strategies and tips for communicating with young children effectively.

DC CCC Orientation
DC CCC serves as a resource hub for families, child care professionals and communities by helping families find quality child care; providing support, education and resources to child care providers; and serving as a central hub for community resources. During this orientation, families and other community members will gain information about the many services and supports that DC CCC provides to benefit families and the community. Virtual Summer Institute for the DC Early Childhood Workforce: Innovative Strategies that Support Positive Educational Outcomes of Young Children
The Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE), in partnership with Hurley and Associates, LLC (H&A), will host a free virtual summer institute for the District’s early childhood educators and child care program leaders.
