Precautions in Transporting Children and Pedestrian and Bike Safety

CCDBG Topic: Appropriate precautions in transporting children
Description: This course provides basic knowledge of transportation regulations and includes a demonstration on how to properly conduct a vehicle passenger check, the use of child safety restraints required by District law, proper loading, unloading, and monitoring of children. Participants will learn where to nd vehicular first aid supplies and how to conduct emergency procedures and response in the event of accidents or breakdowns. During this session, participants will learn how to prevent avoidable bike and pedestrian injuries at school and at play, the safest places to walk and ride a bike and the proper way to t helmets.
