FreeCCDBG Topic: Prevention of sudden infant death syndrome and use of safe sleep practices (if serving infants and toddlers)
Description: Participants in this course will identify behaviors that increase the risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) and sleep related infant deaths, learn ways to reduce the risk of SIDS in child care settings and learn how to communicate with parents and other caregivers about safe sleep practices. This course reflects the American Academy of Pediatrics’ revised recommendations for a safe sleep environment.
