Summer Safety
Summer is often a time for warm weather and outdoor fun for families with young children. This workshop will provide families with helpful tips and recommendations to promote safety throughout the summer season. Families will learn about sun and water safety, skin care, travel considerations, COVID-19 safety and much more.
Supporting Children Through Grief and Loss
From loss of a routine to loss of physical connection with others, many children and families have experienced various forms of loss since the start of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Grief can be a natural response to such loss. During this workshop, families will learn about the impact of grief, explore ways to engage children in conversation about grief and discuss realistic strategies to navigate grief as a family.
Math Counts: Encouraging Numeracy Development at Home
During this workshop, participants will learn various activities that can be done at home to support numeracy development in young children. Facilitators will demonstrate practical ways to promote number sense in children from birth to preschool.

Finding a healthy work-life balance is often a challenging task for families with young children. In this workshop, the facilitator will share promising strategies for “getting it all done” while practicing self-care.
Making Positive Connections
Strong connections between families and children can become the building blocks for developing positive self-esteem and self-confidence in the early stages of growth and development. In this workshop, families will learn practical strategies to strengthen positive connections with children.
Money Matters
During this session, participants will learn strategies to balance and build a family budget. Participants will explore ways to eliminate debt, calculate monthly expenses, compare expenses to income, lower monthly costs and be more mindful about spending. By the end of the session, participants will be able to build a budget that works for their family.
